Pick n Pay has recently faced significant financial challenges, reporting a R3.2 billion loss for the financial year ending on 29 February 2024.

However, Boxer, one of Pick n Pay's subsidiaries that primarily targets township markets, reported a trading profit of R1.9 billion.
